Lolita wardrobe post 2022
Better late than never. Here’s my first (and probably last) wardrobe post. For more pleasant reading for onlookers, I decided to divide my wardrobes by themes, instead of the usual lolita jargon categories (OP, JSK…).
Lacy dreams
Or communion-kei.
Antique doll JSK – Angelic Pretty

I enjoy when lolita designers put more focus on the fabrics rather than the print. It’s nice to have a dress with different textures that compliment each other.
Tears from the Victorian OP – Le flacon

This dress looks stunningly romantic. I just love ivory lace. It’s so feminine. I was surprised by the nice quality.
Wine velvet madness
Sacred Night JSK – Lief

I love screen prints on velvet, especially in gold and wine. It’s so precious ! This colour combination is highy positive, as it symbolizes nobility, courage, power… I also enjoy the longer lenght, it looks even more elegant.
Bourbon Dynasty JSK – Surface Spell

I think this was my first dream dress. I know it’s not a japanese brand… shame on me! I still love it and wear it often. It is very comfortable and soft to the touch. I also love how romantic it looks.
Violin JSK – Kidsyoyo

The cut is really nice and flattering on me. I wish these kind of slender cuts were more common in lolita, as they used to be in the early 10’s.
Lauran skirt – Metamorphose Temps de Fille

I really like the old school vibes on this one ! The velvet fabric is nice and thick.
Fairytale finder
The lifetime wish of my avatar in the MonsterSIM multiverse.
Le Petit Chaperon Rouge JSK – Alice and the Pirates

I really love the bustier on this one. Peak folklore vibes. It’s inspired by hungarian national costume from what it seems, and it looks great. It’s also a bit longer than usual, so it fits well my tall body.
Classic Fairy Tales JSK – Angelic Pretty

One of my all time favourite dresses ! I love how all the details blend together in such a lovely maneer. I can’t think about anything that could be improved design-wise. I own the full set.
Dream of Shepherdess Pastoral JSK – Baby the Stars Shine Bright

This dress design is heavily inspired by swiss traditional outfits, hence the shepherdess vibes.
Day Dream Carnival skirt – Angelic Pretty

I really love how elegant this print looks compared to other AP carnival series, who look to childish to my taste. Pastel pink OTT sweet is just not my thing, props to the girls that rock this style though! I also feel that Day Dream Carnival launched the transition between the OTT sweet trend of the late 00’s to early 10’s and the classic-sweet trend of the mid 10’s.
Feline obsession
Be My Valentine JSK – Angelic Pretty

I bought this print because the animals on it have unsettling faces. I guess this is what happens when you push the neotonous features to the max, the result becomes eerie and weird. Really fitting to my taste.
Noble Collection JSK – Angelic Pretty

This is the latest AP release I own. Although the cut is underwhelming, as usual for current AP, The print is really precious. The fabric is pretty nice aswell, I was pleasantly surprised. The matching cat barette is so cute too!
Cats Astrology JSK – Honey Honey

Esoteric cats… I can’t ask for more in a print, really.
Dreamy Planetarium skirt – Angelic Pretty

Psychedelic ghastly cats floating in space with their fluffy friends… Perfect. Too bad galaxy prints are so dated now. I still wear it tho.
Angel Cats and Devil Cats – Diamond Honey

My go to dress for Halloween parties!
Oldschool inspirations
I don’t own anything released prior to 2010 sadly, but I have several dresses with an old-school design !
Classic Ribbon Long Sleeve OP – Metamorphose Temps de Fille

This dress is so gorgeous… and easy to coordinate. Nu-old-school Meta designs are underrated in my opinion, which I can’t complain about, since it means they’re cheaper second-hand.
Fancy Bustier & Skirt Set – Angelic Pretty

My oldest piece !
Brenda 4 Tier Frill OP with Cameo – Bodyline

My very first lolita dress! I still enjoy wearing it, it’s so sturdy and versatile.
Military theme
Grantia OP (Men’s) – Atelier Boz

This dress is my go-to piece for neofolk and other military goth concerts. Too bad I’ve lost the detachable bow.
Skirt – Metamorphose Temps de Fille

I love this cute sailor skirt ! Sadly I can’t remember its name.
All black
Shadow Carnival OP – Angelic Pretty

A very lovely OP, with a beguiling fabric texture, that I will sell soon because I don’t fit into it anymore.
Baroque OP

I don’t have the name for this dress. The fabric is very comfortable and breathable, perfect for warm weather. My surface spell bustier compliments it very well, I think.
Casual outfits
Milkshake skirt – Angelic Pretty

I love these retro designs AP has been pumping out lately ! This one in particular is easy to wear casually.
Innocent World JSK

I love that this dress is boned. It’s a nice improvement to my overall silouette. Makes me want to buy a corset.
Lilli High Waist Skirt – Metamorphose Temps de Fille

This is probably the piece I wear the most ! It’s very casual, versatile and flattering (unlike some cuts that make you look like a giant baby). I bought the skirt on sale 2 years ago, and have never regretted it since. Meta sales rules!
Tartan suspender skirt – unknown brand

It’s made in a nice wool tartan fabric. I’ve bought off a comm member who didn’t know about the brand sadly.
Detachable Collar Puff Sleeve OP – Atelier Pierrot

A sturdy, versatile and comfortable piece I enjoy wearing both for work and going out ! The detachable collars that come with it are really a great addition to my wardrobe. It can be used to dress up or down any lolita dress. It’s especially nice when you wear it with a “normie” cardigan or sweater, to make them match a lolita outfit. The dress can also be worn without petticoat, as a regular cute dress, this is why I wear it so much.
Soufflesong JSK

A cute printed dress I bought for cheap, that I enjoy wearing in summer.
Cute bags

I love animal bags… I hope that one day a brand will release a seal plush bag… I can only dream.
